Few advices for people that watch tons of people (like me), and have the mania of faving everything.

Maybe that line is only applicable for me, so :XD:
  • 0-Use X to remove and the mouse to select the folder. Use shortcuts to move through tabs.
Another tips are using Control+F (search [to search the name of the folder]) and Control+G (search next), and Control+Tab/Control+Shift+Tab to go forward and backwards in tabs. You can also do by pressing Control+Next-page / Control + Previous-page.
Using tabs for different stacks, you will control more works at a time.
  • 1- Establish a series of works that you won't fave ever.
  • For me are: (most of the) texts, ponies, food, photos about cats, pixel art, icons, ID, images with too large watemarks, photos too generic about B&W harbors, crappy photos of great art (I mean, sometimes I can't fave even if I try), sculptures, real weapons, puppies, chibbys, memes, WIPS (except those that are so great quality that they aren't truly WIPS), manga, comics, adoptables with too high prices, artwork that features humans, gore, streams announcements, etc.
  • 2a -Do a google doc / or html page you can access in the broser with the directions of people you usually fave more.
You can do this by pasting the links in a google docs and then saving as an html (and having the local file in favourites). This connect with the point 5.
  • 2b - Establish what groups upload repeat stuff to your stack.
For example, for me mandelbulb3d uploads a lot of repeated stuff because I also watch batjorge, Sabine62, CO99A5 etc so I have in a html google doc the directions of those artists and I opened those and then I compare with the stack of mandelbulb3d.
  • - Locate people that submits just over and over the same variations and remove those works that you don't like.
  • This point specially goes for groups because you want to see what the group has to offer but there is one annoying person that upload a lot of irrelevant (for you) works. It is difficult to be applicable to people you watch because if you always remove those works, that would lead to:
  • - If you always remove all the stack of someone, consider to unwatch him/her.
  • One easy way that don't make you actually unwatch someone is to unmark all of the ticks of deviantwatch and put him/her in a special list if you want to check latter.
  • 5- If you make folders you can see all the folder in a tab and in the other systematically fave what you want in your collection.
  • That means that you can fave fast but you can calmy see all the works. This have the peril pointed out in the point 8.
  • 7- Try to not overfaving by not faving some works that you have though to fav (specially if the artist have better works).
  • 8- Try to not fave the same artist in a repetitive way too long.
  • I mean, 100 works in a row. That could be counterproductive. It is better to fave one work from each author, so you can see all the works calmy and comment the best ones. There are some people that don't like recieving many favourites (!).
  • - There are limits in favourites and in stack, so you can store items to see later.
    • a) There is a limit arround 10.000 deviations in your stock, if you go further that (maybe like 10.300 or so), then the stack resets to 10.000 and you lost 300 notifications of deviations. So you can store the stacks you like the most, before the global deviant stack number overcome 10.000.
    • b) There is a limit in the number of favourites in one folder, arround 46.900.
    • c) There is a limit in the number of folder you can have in your favourites. (+200)
  • 10 - Try a rutine.
    • a) fav first the smaller stacks and then the bigger stacks.
    • b) fav each group until the last consecuences.
    • c) etc
  • 11 - Try addons to control better your flow of deviations.
  • Like Dev_Multi_Open by Dediggefedde or  dA_devfolder by Dediggefedde by dediggefedde. See also other scripts by Dediggefedde  they are really useful. (For example the search notes → Dev_Note_Search2
  • 12- To know the URL of the stack of a user you can do this →
  • How to know the URL of the stack of an artistThis very simply tutorial will show you how to go to a stack of a artist that you already watch it but that you can't locate throught your stack, or maybe you only want to access quickly.
Imagine that you watch batjorge , and you want to know the URL of his stack. These would be the steps to follow.
